At St. James, we support young people who desire to study, grow, and build a future of dignity, prosperity, and purpose.
We offer educational support, student services, personal guidance, and a caring community that helps them discover their talents, strengthen their character, and prepare for life through study, work, and service.
Program pillars
Our approach aims to support students in a complete way. We help them achieve an academic degree, but also help them get all the necessary skills for success.

Guiding young adults with dignity
We support young people who are committed to their education and need guidance, educational opportunities, and a strong support network to access higher education and achieve their professional goals.
Young people who have grown up without consistent parental care, come from residential care homes, orphanages, or lack a stable and supportive family environment.
Young people who have the motivation and ability to pursue higher education but lack the financial resources needed to begin or complete their studies.
Young people facing difficult personal, family, or social circumstances who would benefit from guidance, encouragement, and the support of a caring community.

To put our mission into action, St. James provides a safe, family-like environment and support programs adapted to each young person’s needs and circumstances.
We help young people discovertheir talents and vocation, set meaningful goals, and develop a planfor their future.
We connect young people with limited financial resources to opportunities that can help thempursue technical or university studies.
We provide a safe, family-likehome for young people who need accommodation and support withessential needs while pursuing their education.
We strengthen foundationalknowledge, study habits, and the skills young people need to enterand succeed in higher education.
We prepare young people foremployment, internships, and volunteer opportunities while helpingthem develop responsibility, experience, and workplace skills.
We provide close personalguidance through trusted adult mentors and professional support when needed.
We promote healthy habits and facilitate access to healthcare services according to each youngperson’s needs and the resources available.
St. James House is more than a student residence. It is a community with a family spirit, where young people find a safe and supportive environment to study, share responsibilities, and grow through work, prayer, and service.
St. James House – Dominican Sisters, located in Plan 3000 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is our first house and the place where this mission began.
Our vision is to establish new St. James Houses led by mentor couples, serving as local centers of support, formation, and accompaniment for young people in their communities.

Ready to make a difference?
St. James was born from a simple but profound concern: many young people want to continue their education and build a better future, but they lack the guidance, resources, or support network needed to do so.
In response to this reality, we began working alongside the Church, residential care homes, and local partners to create a community where young people could find guidance, formation, and opportunities to grow.
This mission began at St. James House – Dominican Sisters, located in Plan 3000, Santa Cruz de la Sierra. From this first house comes our vision of establishing new St. James Houses that can support young people in other communities.
EMPOWERING YOUTH. BUILDING BRIGHER FUTURES
Everyone can contribute according to their own circumstances. No act of support is too small when it helps a young person study, grow, and build a future with purpose.
Help a young person continue their technical or university studies and move toward an independent professional life.
Support our programs through financial contributions, educational materials, equipment, furniture, or food.
Offer jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, scholarships, or other experiences that help young people prepare for the future.
Whether you sponsor a young person, provide a scholarship, share your experience as a mentor, donate needed materials, or build a partnership with us, there are many ways to become part of this mission.
